The 1998 National Arthritis Week (NAW) was launched by Ita Buttrose - journalist, editor, and spokesperson for the Arthritis Foundation of Victoria (AFV), now known as Arthritis Victoria (AV). Various sportspersons were also at the launch to help spread the message about exercise and better health outcomes. In this photo, Nathan Bourke (Co-Captain of the St Kilda Football Team), Shelley O'Donnell (Vice Captain of the Australian Netball Team), are depicted sitting in the front row of a gymnasium or indoor stadium at the launch, with some school children sitting in the rows behind them.
