Historical information

On the 17th of October, 2000, Arthritis Victoria (incorporating Osteoporosis Victoria) held a seminar on World Osteoporosis Day (WOD). The event was held at the Glen Eira Town Hall Auditorium. 200 participants attended the seminar, which included guest speakers and information displays. The event was a partnership between Arthritis Victoria and the City of Glen Eira. In this photo, Leigh Garwood, Cr Veronika Martens, Beryl Logie, and Professor Peter Ebeling pose for a photo next to the Arthritis Victoria/Osteoporosis Victoria banner. The photo appears on page 12 of the Vol 13 Issue 04, Summer 2000 edition of Arthritis Victoria's quarterly magazine, Arthritis Update. It is captioned: "From left to right: Leigh Garwood, (CEO Arthritis Victoria, Cr Veronika Martens, Mayor City of Glen Eira, Beryl Logie, President of the Melbourne Osteoporosis Self Help Group, Peter Ebeling, Associate Professor Endocrinology."
