In preparation for the construction of the Arthritis Foundation of Victoria's new building at 263-265 Kooyong Rd, Elsternwick, an event was held on the 8th of December, 1993, to commemorate the pegging of the site. In this photo, Dr Leslie Koadlow (1920-2006) (Foundation founder) and Bill Dix (Chairman of the Appeal Committee) pose for a photo with a mallet above a peg that has been hammered into the ground. This photo appears on page 16 (back cover) of the Vol 7 No 1, Autumn 1994 issue of the Arthritis Foundation of Victoria's quarterly magazine, Arthritis Update. It is captioned: "Above right: AFV President, Dr Les Koadlow and Chairman of the Appeal Committee, Mr Bill Dix, AO, hammer in the first peg on the site."
