Historical information

On the 27th of May, 1994, the foundation plaque of the Arthritis Foundation of Victoria's new headquarters was unveiled. Named the Percy Baxter Arthritis Centre, the official unveilling was conducted by the Premier of Victoria, the Honourable Jeff Kennett (1948-). Located at 263-265 Kooyong Rd, Elsternwick, the construction of the new building was nearing completion. In this photo, Premier, Jeff Kennett, Mayor of Caulfield, Cr Nicholas Gold, and Foundation founder, Dr Leslike Koadlow (partially obscured) are flanked by a media sound crew as they prepare to begin the official proceedings.
