Historical information

Around 1998 to 1999, the Arthritis Foundation of Victoria (AFV) developed an Arthritis Self Management Course. Course leaders were trained to deliver the program, which utilised Kate Lorig and James F Fries' landmark self-help book, "The Arthritis Helpbook". This photo depicts course leader, Noel Smith, taking a small group of people through the course program in either late 1998 or early 1999.
