This Photograph from Musculoskeletal Health Australia’s analogue Photographic collection has been digitised and catalogued thanks to the Victoria State Government and the Public Record Of Victoria (PROV) Local History Grant Program (Round 18: 2019-2020 and Round 20: 2021-2022).
Around 1998 to 1999, the Arthritis Foundation of Victoria (AFV) developed an Arthritis Self Management Course. Course leaders were trained to deliver the program, which utilised Kate Lorig and James F Fries' landmark self-help book, "The Arthritis Helpbook". This photo depicts a close up of a woman's hands placed across the top of the book.The photo was taken during a course program led by trained course leader, Noel Smith in either late 1998 or early 1999.
