Around 1987 to 1988, the Arthritis Foundation of Victoria (AFV) conducted an Exercise and Arthritis Training Course designed specifically to train volunteer members as Fitness Leaders. This photo depicts Stan Lacey, a registered AFV Fitness Leader who runs exercise classes at his workplace, attending the Fitness Leaders' training course with others at the AFV’s headquarters at Action House. A slightly cropped version of this photo appears on page 8 of the Vol 1 No 1, March 1988 inaugural issue of Arthritis Update. It accompanies an article titled, "Exercising at Work". It is captioned: "Stan Lacey works out with other fitness leaders."
