Historical information

Ticket issued as a souvenir for travel by special train from Ballarat to Richmond on 22/11/1956 for the rowing and canoeing teams to attend the Opening Ceremony at the MCG. Has a red cover with the Victorian Railways crowned emblem in gold. Printed by the Victorian Railways 1303/56.

Significance

Demonstrates a ticket issued to the Rowing and Canoeing teams to enable them to travel to Melbourne for the 1956 Olympics Opening Ceremony.
