National Trust Collection: Old Power Station - Tram Depot site Lansell Street, Bendigo. Formerly the State Electricity Commission of Victoria Depot the land is offered to Council as a tourist attraction.
The State Electricity Commission of Victoria advised that as a result of purchase of a new combined regional office and Depot premises at The Midland Highway, Epsom, Bendigo, the Commission's existing deport at Lansell Street will be "disposed of at the appropriate time". The site is offered as an opportunity to develop a major tourist attraction.

3084.80c 11 March 1985 Council advises the Minister for Tourism that at its meeting on 4 March instructed its officers to further investigate the possible use of the Old Power Station Tram Depot site; to be carried out in liaison with the various interested bodies including the National Trust and the Bendigo Trust.
