Historical information

Photo shows two Victorian Railways tram crew in front of tram 49 at Black Rock. Both are wearing summer jackets with VR badges on both lapels. The Motorman on the left has a Motorman badge and number "26". Shows the style of the VR uniform caps. The conductor though wearing a tie is not a uniform issue style and has a finger shield on his thumb to help with issuing tickets. The tram line closed during Nov, 1956.
