24 Battalion Christmas Greetings card sent to his sister Marion, by VX25903 Robert Ross ADAMS Born 14/10/1919 at Three Bridges/Powelltown
Enlisted 19/6/1940. Trained at Wangaratta with the 2/24 Battalion. 16/11/40 embarked overseas and served in the Middle East and New Guinea.
Inside page has a Christmas greeting, and poem entitled “Thoughts” together with black and white image of a soldier with rifle.
Card also contained a small separate page with verse entitled Comradeship Hymn.

Significance

Item sent by R Adams to his married sister Marion and family during WW2. Donor Norma Woods, is the daughter of Marion and niece of Adams.
