For over a century the men and women of the Australian Defence Force have developed a rich history of service both on and off the battlefield. Many Australians have not been required to serve in battle but have contributed exemplary service in both operational and non-operational roles and have been integral in making the Australian Defence Force one of the most professional military forces in the world.
