Article - 3rd Sunshine Guides, Seeing Eye Dog Fund Raising

Historical information

Seeing Eye Dogs in Victoria are provided by Vision Australia, offering free services to support mobility and independence for people who are blind or have low vision.

Vision Australia Seeing Eye Dogs is the only national provider of Seeing Eye Dog services in Australia, and its headquarters are located at 17 Barrett Street, Kensington, VIC 3031.

Their program includes breeding, training, and matching dogs with clients, as well as offering tailored mobility training and rehabilitation services.

Vision Australia Seeing Eye Dogs relies on donations from corporate organisations, philanthropic bequests, individual donors, Lions Clubs, APEX Clubs and other community organisations such as the girl guides.

In this case the 3rd Sunshine Girl Guides Troop raised $80, which allowed them to purchase two puppies that they donated to the Seeing Eye Dogs School.
