The Sunshine & District Historical Society had these items on display for the purpose of seeking further information.

Further research found Cyril Henry "Hugo" Buckingham was a notable figure within the H.V. McKay Sunshine Harvester Works, a machinist by trade, he was remembered for his role in keeping the massive factory running smoothly. He was a keen painter, poetry writer and a regular contributor for the Sunshine Advocate.

Many of his pieces of art and poetry appeared in The Sunshine Harvester Works Social & Welfare Association Exhibition of Artcraft's & Hobbies, a regular exhibition held in Sunshine, Victoria.
