Set of two colour slides of the Lydiard St level crossings and tramway operations. Photo undated, early 1950s before the application of the reflective triangles but after the installation of tail lights.
1 - trams 30 (Lydiard St Nth) and 32 (Sebastopol) in Lydiard St North with the level crossing in the background. A technical college and the Provincial hotel are in the background, with a small brown bus on the left-hand side. Tram 30 would have waited on the double line for 32 to clear after the gates were opened.
2 - tram 32 waits for an arriving southbound train to cross the level crossing. In the background is Victoria House.
