On December 20, 1983, Andrew Peacock visited the Elanora nursing home in Brighton. There he met resident Mary Lawless, whom he knew when he was a student at Melbourne University. Mrs Lawless was also housekeeper for former Prime Minister Harold Holt, for 27 years. She was at Portsea the day of his disappearance.
