Uniform - Battle Jacket

Standard issue item as used by Australian servicemen during the conflict in Vietnam ( 1962 - 1972).

Physical description

A khaki coloured short woollen jacket with long sleeves. Two large pockets on the front. Across the shoulder blades are panels with plastic buttons. The waist band is fastened by a metal buckle. Red patches are on either sleeve saying Royal Australia Regiment. The sleeves have cuffs and there are five (5) plastic buttons down the front. Inside the jacket are two deep pocket made from cotton.
