Summary

In 1915, Anne Donnell enlisted as a nursing sister for the Australian Army Nursing Services. She travelled extensively during her war time nursing work to places including Marseilles, Lemnos, Alexandria and Cairo. Anne returned to Australia in 1919. Anne Donnell's diaries from the First World War were transcribed by Graeme Mitchell and Jan Leader. [From Trove entry]
