Bendigo Advertiser article 14th March, 2000, , titled 'Litigation dropped, Miner, claimants reach settlement', describes the court case taken against Perseverance Mining by eleven claimant couples. The case was dropped and settled when Perseverance acquired 10 of the claimants properties 'at values agreed by property valuers and will provide relocation expenses of $5000 per couple', John Kelly, the Managing Director of Perseverance Mining said claimants had undertaken 'not to be involved in any further court proceedings or campaigns against the company'.
