In 1948, Helen Keller and Polly Thompson came to Australia at the request of the various blindness agencies. This Movie Tone news film depicts her arrival in Sydney and meeting the President of the Sydney Industrial Blind Institute Justice Maxwell.
Also on this CD are copies of Helen Keller and Polly Thompson meeting children at the Deaf, Dumb and Blind Institute in Sydney (no. 30608), a shorter version of the DDB meeting (9080) and a sculpture created of Helen Keller.
