This is a piece of working equipment from the early days of the Forests Commission and shows the strong linkages to the VSF
Canvas stretcher with wooden poles and steel braces and legs. It has a folding mechanism with lock nuts. Two long poles on either side of the canvas body, supported by metal feet.
