William 'Bill' Theodore - undated newspaper cutting Mrs. M.J. Rees of 124 White Hills Road, Bendigo won many prizes at the Bendigo Show with her collection of jams, pickles, preserves and relish. In addition to taking prizes in the jams and preserves (apricot jam, raspberry jam, quince honey, tomato relish, tomato chutney and pickled onions) Mrs. Rees also won first prize for her chocolate cake and a third for a ginger cake. She has won in the jams and preserves for three years now and enjoys competing as a hobby.
The newspaper cutting has been trimmed from a newspaper (most likely The Bendigo Advertiser) is yellow with age, but no date for the year of the Show is evident.
