Photograph, Sussex Street 1930s : Bennett Butchers, Criterion House, former Joseph Shepherd house

Historical information

Photograph is dated to 1930s as G. G. Bennett is shown trading at the store formerly owned by Joseph Shepherd/Alf Darling. Criterion House appears to be unoccupied, suggesting photo was taken after 1932 when Murrell's Newsagency moved from this site across to the west side of Sussex Street (to shop previously occupied by Dan Cornish).
