Historical information

Photograph shows two loaded cable trams about to pass each other on the Bridge Road hill looking east. The trams are adjacent the National Bank of Australasia building on the east bound side and a 'Hail Cars Here' sign is fixed to a timber lamp post on the city bound side. In the midground are the Richmond Town Hall clock tower, several more cable trams, pedestrians and horse drawn carts.
