The Rose Stereograph Company was founded in 1880 by George Rose in Australia, initially producing stereographs (3D images) that were popular in the era.

As stereographs declined in popularity in the 1920s, the company shifted its focus to becoming a leader in the production of Australian postcards, a business it maintained for over 140 years across five generations of the Rose family.

The company is known for documenting many iconic moments in Australian history and life.
