Summary
"A loco proposition" was how Lee Ransome described the mad venture on which he was engaged, for Ransome's job was to settle the Range feud between the Gillums and Tarborrows, which had started when Jim Tarborrow was sent to jail for robbing Big Bart Gillum in a pay-roll holdup. If Lee could find the real bandit, there was hope that this senseless warfare might be ended.
