Historical information

Use to record scores for tennis matches held at the SECV Depot. The Tennis court was on the west side of the depot buildings and trackwork. The board was salvaged from the depot by the BTPS following closure and stored in a rack or on the ground for many years until collected.

Significance

Demonstrates a tennis scoreboard that was located at the SECV Ballarat tram depot.

Physical description

Sign - masonite sheet painted chalkboard black with a grey timber surround and three steel / clips on the rear, nailed into the beeding with painted lines and headings.
