Summary

Coming home after four years of absence, Jeff Burke experienced no thrill of pleasure for he faced a stern reckoning with his father, the grim tyrannical Shandy Burke who had tried to rule his son just as ruthlessly as he ruled the town of Boomerang and all of the Union County of which he was sheriff and pinchbeck dictator. How Jeff takes part in the clearing up of Boomerang and the undoing of his own father makes a wonderfully dramatic novel told in Frank C. Robertson's best vein.
