Rose Series postcard No. 1525, Swanston Street, from just north of Lonsdale Street. There are over eight trams in the view, mainly W2 class plus one sole W4 or W5. The permanent Safety Zone at the Bourke Street tram stop is clearly visible; only basic ones exist at Londale Street stops. In the background is the newly completed Shrine of Remembrance. Note traffic lights at Lonsdale Street and the tramway notice on left side attached to lighting pole indicting services departing from this tram stop.
