Photo shows an MMTB employee at a depot or workshop adjusting the brakes on a No. 15 bogie or truck using a special spanner for the task. Another open-ended spanner can be seen on the lock nut. The brake block is a new Ferodo type made by Hardie, c1970. See item 7451 re timing of introduction of this type of brake block.
