Historical information

The postcard shows an image of Union Street, now Union Road at the intersection with St Leonards Road. Photo shows a tram, route letter M, southbound in Union Road. Windscreens have been fitted to tram. This section of tramway when built was provided with centre poles. The telephone lines have also been removed. On the left is Hollisters Shoe Store.
