Historical information

The photo shows a NMETL tram, cross bench type, possibly No. 15 or 16, parked in front of the Essendon tram depot in Mt Alexander Road, during the mid to late 1900s with the destination of Keilor Road. The tram depot car shed and offices are in the background along with a number of people observing. The tram commenced services from Essendon depot in 1906.
