Historical information

The Sunshine & District Historical Society in collaboration with the Department of Employment and Workplace Relation and Victoria University produced this collection of VHS Video tapes in 2006.

The purpose of the project was to explore and document the history and development of the district of Sunshine through the eyes of those who participated in its evolution.

Several long-term residents were interviewed, John Boddington, Ray Carlton, Faye Meehan, Les Noble, Wally O'Brien, Tom Rigg, John & Lorna Stainer, John & Lorna Stainer, Betty Wegener & Ruby Baberton, Arthur Wright, John Willaton & Charlie Skidmore.

The interviews were conducted on location within the district of Sunshine. The background sounds that you will hear are the sounds of Sunshine.
