The photo shows the interior of the body shop at Preston Workshops with SW6 903 along with many other trams including tram 907 (the number is chalked on the side) under construction. Tram 907 entered service during Nov. 1945. Has many workers, equipment, benches and work in progress in the view. Tram 903 with dash canopy lighting was issued to traffic in Sept. 1945. As well in the view are trams with white panels on their fronts and dash canopy lighting. A number of other trams are being attended to behind the new builds including a W2. Photographer probably MMTB, winter 1945.
