Historical information

The photo shows track construction in Dandenong Road by the PMTT in 1911. Note the hand drilling of the sleepers. It would appear to have been a hot day with most men having taken their jackets off. This photo appears in "Prahran and Malvern Tramways Trust - Melbourne's foremost municipal tramway" on page 46 and is credited to the Bob Prentice collection.
