The Bacchus Marsh Players were an amateur theatre group based in Bacchus Marsh. They formed in the 1950s and were active until the mid 1990s. They are known to have performed productions between 1955 and 1994.

An important and extensive collection of material relating to a long running community theatre group.

Physical description

Mixed collection of material generated by the Bacchus Marsh Players an amateur theatre group in Bacchus Marsh. Material comprises production programmes, tickets, flyers and other promotional ephemera, audio recordings (cassettes) of productions, one large reel tape recording of a production, one VHS video recording of a production, scrapbooks, photo albums of colour and black and white photos, colour slides of productions, newspaper clippings, recordings of published music used for productions, documents, certificates and awards, one ledger book containing financial records, one engraved decorative wooden bowl presented to Liba Novak in 2002. Material also includes the programme and script for the 1986 production of 'Pieces of Glass' by Betty Osborn, and a hand-written list in date order of productions from the 1955 until 1994.
