Historical information
The Albion Tennis Club was established in 1938. The first courts were located on two residential properties in King Edward Avenue Albion surrounded by chicken coops on either side.
The first clubrooms were built and opened in 1939 by Cr. Joseph “Joe” Robert Parsons, President of the Shire of Braybrook.
The club relocated to Selwyn Park in 1982.
Significance
Today there is no trace of these tennis courts and the attached club rooms. This photograph provides a visual image of where the tennis courts and the club rooms were located in King Edward Avenue Albion. The Donald Ross Court flats are now located on the site.
