Photograph of John Chesters 3476 WW1 AIF 8th Rein 24th Battalion and 8th Battalion. Born at Lake Rowan, Victoria. He enlisted on 15/7/1915 aged 18 years and 7 months. Four months after his arrival in France he was killed in action on 26/7/1916 at Pozieres. His brother Thomas Kelvie Chesters 53697 also served in WW1 with the 13th Battalion.
