Australian Comforts Fund Diary 1919 gifted to Thomas Kelvie Chesters 53697 WW1 AIF 13th Battalion. Born on 5/2/1989 at Benalla. First enlisted on 13/2/1917 however service record stated he did no duty and enlistment cancelled. Reenlisted on 10/10/1917 at Lismore and served with the 13th Battalion He embarked overseas on 19/6/1918 and returned on 24/10/1919 and was discharged on 12/11/1919. Younger brother of John Chesters 3476 24th Battalion KIA on 26/7/1916 at Pozieres, France.
