Historical information

The photograph shows a cable car set at the Victoria Street (East) terminus. Trailer No. 233. A paperboy is standing in front of the trailer. There is advertising on the trailer car for the "Cyclorama". Built in 1889 and closed in 1906 but not demolished until 1928 stood at the corner of Victoria Parade and Fitzroy Street Fitzroy. Photo c1900. The postcard says the photo is taken in Bourke Street, taken from the State Library collection, by the Old Australian Picture Co, with a Wagga Wagga address.
