Photograph shows Leyland OPS1 No 405 in Bourke Street at the Russell Street stop for Nicholson Street, East Brunswick buses. This bus entered service in October 1948. They were replaced in Bourke Street by the longer OPS4 from 1950. This particular bus has minor damage and is not in a new condition. Photo dates to c1949. Note the popular Tivoli and Lyceum picture theatres further down Bourke Street on the opposite side. It appears to be an official M&MTB photograph.
