Ron Penna was born in Bendigo in 1935. He worked at the Bendigo Advertiser newspaper from 1952 as a printer and foreman from 1968. He retired in 1995.

Physical description

Five metal newspaper printing blocks. Three are on a curved surface and have a three and half cm diameter circle with mirror indentations; CLASSIFED ADS, an image of a face, PHONE 431322, GET RESULTS; SPORTS, an image of a jockey on a racehorse, RESULTS; SPORTS, an image of a cricket batter, RESULTS. Another on a curved surface; 1853, Bendigo Advertiser, CELABRATING 130 YEARS, SPECIAL FEATURE PAGES 6-7 TODAY, 1983. The last one is a square flat block with Your District Daily inside a shield.
