Historical information

Tram 14 was a small green and cream single truck tram operated by one person. Entry was by the narrow door at the driver's end of the tram. People would pay their fare to the driver. There was no conductor. Pink advertisement for the Bendigo Bank was on the side. The tram is photographed outside the Shed at the Ballarat Tramway Museum.
Tram body was built in 1915 for the Prahran and Malvern Tramways Trust. Sold to the Melbourne Electric Supply Co. Ltd. in 1927 and ran in Geelong. Transferred by the State Electricity Commission to Ballarat in 1936. It was the last tram to be overhauled by the SEC. It is now the property of the Ballarat City Council and on loan to the Museum.
