Historical information
Patches, ribbon bars, split rings that were originally used on the uniform of WWII serving nurse Lesla Meddy Blanshard. Two battledress flashes for 'Royal Australian Army Nursing Corps', Two crown patches denoting rank of Lieutenant and two patches with the Southern Command formation sign. There are four split rings that would have used for the attachment of buttons or other metal/delicate things that required removal prior to laundering. Present is two ribbon bars of various length, the long one denoting WWII medals: Pacific Star, Defence Medal, War Medal 1939-45 and Australian Service Medal. The shorter bar denoting the 1939-45 Star and Africa Star.
Physical description
Two sets of ribbon bars with coloured stripes that indicate awards received, three sets of two patches including maroon battledress flashes, blue and white southern command formation sign patches and maroon and gold rank patches, along with four metal split rings.
