Significance
No 2 Flying Training School was established at RAAF Base Pearce Western Australia in the early 1970's
Physical description
A wooden shield-shaped plaque featuring an enameled and gilded badge mounted at the centre. The badge displays a crowned emblem with a flying bird and a flaming torch, surrounded by a blue ring inscribed with “2 FLYING TRAINING SCHOOL” and “ROYAL AUSTRALIAN AIR FORCE.” A scroll at the bottom reads “SEEK THE HEIGHTS.” The plaque surface is glossy varnished wood.
