News Release from Victoria Transport titled "Light rail Transit system for Melbourne" - dated 20/11/1985 about the proposed north - south Light Rail service - Nicholson St / St Kilda and Port Melbourne. Announced by Tom Roper, Transport Minister. Notes the first LRV on the Burwood line, the need for new vehicles and that it would be operational by the end of 1987.
