The presentation of a cheque by the Mayoress, Mrs L TURNER was held in the Mayor's Room at the Port Melbourne Town Hall. Present L - R -The Mayoress, Mrs L TURNER, Mr Les TURNER, Mr Syd ANDERSON and Port Melbourne Old Citizen's Club President, Mr W GAY.
This original framed photographic print hung in the Club Rooms in Edwards Park, Esplanade East, from 1949 until late 2025, It was removed to enable the rooms to be painted. The original was removed from the frame and donated to the PMHPS. A duplicate image was made & returned to the frame to be re-hung in the club rooms.

Large B & W photograph witha pale cardboard mount on the occasion of the formation of the Port Melbourne Old Citizens's Club. The Mayoress (Mrs L TURNER) is presenting a cheque to Mr W GAY, President of the Port Melbourbe Old Citizen's Club.
