Historical information

Photograph shows Melbourne, Brunswick and Coburg Tramway Trust tramcar number 11 on a wide street with shop verandahs on one side. The location may be Lygon Street, North Carlton before 1920. The reference to Northcote may be an error as the electric tram through Northcote was opened by the new Melbourne and Metropolitan Tramways Board in 1920, initially used a different design tramcar and was isolated from the MBCTT until 1924.
