Buildings which were spaced apart and constructed with thick bases of walls thinning out at the top forcing blowing upwards and not outward This was a safety measures should an explosion occur A maximum of two workers per hut was standard The personnel in these buildings were engaged in the filling of shell cases and other explosive items with various explosive elements
