The Flynn and Parsons families are an interesting contrast Both arrived in the Brimbank area at Braybrook Junction in 1891 Both had children at the new state school However there were many differences Thomas flynn was headteacher of the new school He taught in the area until 1912 and then moved away His son John went on to become an ordained minister and eventually Flynn of the Inland founder of the Flying Doctor Service Eddmund Parsons was a horsehair manufacturere and his sons and grandsons continued his very specialised business Descendants of Emily and Edmund Parsons still live in the Sunshine area today
